Easy 30 min Baked Prawn

These finger-licking treats are not only super easy to make but also full of flavor. With only a few basic ingredients and some baking wizardry, you’ll have juicy prawns marinaded and baked to perfection.

I always go for this whenever I need a family-friendly seafood recipe. This baked prawn dish is simple, healthy, flavorful and works amazing as an appetizer.

Ingredients:

  • Prawns: Try to use fresh prawns but frozen ones will work just fine.
  • Spices and Herbs: This recipe is meant to be flexible so that you can adjust it to the ingredients available at home. Here I’m using black pepper, white pepper, oregano, paprika. But you can add your own spices!
  • Lemon juice
  • Garlic (minced)
  • Green chilly(chopped)
  • Cooking oil: Here I’m using soybean oil because its healthy and doesn’t interfere with the prawns flavor. But you can also use other kinds if you wish to.
  • Breadcrumbs

How to make baked prawn skewers:

Step 1: Add the minced garlic, chopped chilly and lemon juice to the prawns.

Step 2: Add all the spices and salt and mix nicely.

Step 3: Add in the oil and mix gently.

Step 4: Now add the breadcrumbs.

Step 5: Gently mix it all together to have a nice and even coat of breadcrumbs. It doesn’t have to be perfectly coated.

Step 6: Now thread the prawn on the skewer. You can dip them in some breadcrumbs one more time now before we bake it. Place them on a baking tray either greased or lined with parchment paper. Bake it at 370° F (or around 190°C) and bake it for 15 min or until the prawns turn pink and the breadcrumbs turn a bright golden brown color.

Now serve it with a dipping sauce of your choice and enjoy!

  • Paprika (1 tsp)
  • Black and White pepper (1/2 tsp each)
  • Salt (1/2 tsp)
  • Oregano (1/2 tsp)
  • Cumin powder (1/2 tsp)
  • Breadcrumbs (1/2 cup or as needed)

Instructions

    1. Add the minced garlic, chopped chilly and lemon juice to the prawns

Notes

You can adjust the amount of spices and salt to your preference. Its a pretty easy and flexible recipe so you can any mix of spice you like or have st home. Enjoy baking!
